The Strength of a Prayer

I am sure that normal training for a bodybuilder includes a number of important principals to follow, routines, and most of all dedication. It would be wise for a person in training to to change their habits both physically and mentally. I feel that we also go through similar training to gain the strength to endure life's obstacles.
One of the ways that I was taught to cope, like many, is through prayer. I can remember the morning I asked God to simply make me stronger. As simple as that request was, I had no idea of the power that I had released into the atmosphere. I put myself in the position to be trained, and just like that (snaps fingers) obstacles came back to back. I found myself jumping hurdle after hurdle with no sign of a finish line.
Looking back at the moment, I questioned why I had to go through so much. I wondered when would I ever get a break, I was tired. I was tired in all areas of my life, but for some odd reason, I just could not give up. The funny thing about this life lesson is, I now know that I was only receiving my request. God was and is making me stronger.
We have to be careful of what we ask for and how we use the most powerful muscle to speak things into existence. When praying to a God of such broadness, I can certainly trust that my thoughts are a grain of sand to His capabilities. As I travel through this valley, I have learned that when you pray, position yourself to receive.
