Some Birthdays are Heavenly

Every year on the same date, we often celebrate life, a new personal chapter and the closing of the lessons we learned within the year before. Birthdays are times in which family members and friends gather to celebrate their love ones.

9/27 is the date that my Daddy was celebrated the most. He loved to eat, so an awesome meal was usually on the agenda, topped with a sweet treat! Today, however is the first 9/27 that he's not here to physically celebrate. As I gathered my thoughts to make it through the day, I reflect upon the times that we shared.

I can only imagine how glorious it must be to have a heavenly birthday. I can't say that today has been easy, but knowing your love ones that have gone on before are at peace help ease our broken pieces. So Daddy, although you are not here to blow out the candles, the light of your love still shines. I didn't make you a cake, but we have sweet memories. There are no gifts to open, yet the values you instilled are limitless. Happy heavenly birthday, Daddy!!
